Working with Etsy-Linked Products

Once a product is linked to an Etsy listing, IndieMade adds Etsy actions to that product's row on your Products page. From there you can open the listing on Etsy, send your IndieMade changes to Etsy, pull the latest from Etsy, or disconnect the two. Where to find the Etsy actions

Go to Dashboard → Products and open the row menu on any product that is linked to Etsy. You will see:

• View On Etsy — opens the listing in your Etsy shop manager.
• Update Etsy Listing — copies this IndieMade product onto its Etsy listing.
• Update from Etsy — copies the Etsy listing onto this IndieMade product.
• Disconnect Etsy Listing — breaks the link. Neither product nor listing is deleted.

A product that is not yet linked shows Save as Draft on Etsy instead. A product that was linked before shows Connect Etsy Listing so you can reconnect it.

Updating one product from Etsy

Use this when you have edited a listing on Etsy and want IndieMade to match it, without touching the rest of your shop.

1. Go to Dashboard → Products.
2. Open the row menu on the product and choose Update from Etsy.
3. A confirmation page headed Update from Etsy opens. It shows a card with the product's photo and title, so you know exactly which product you are about to change, and one sentence: This copies the Etsy listing onto this IndieMade product.
4. Under What should change on IndieMade? leave Update everything from Etsy selected, or choose Update everything, but keep some things as they are on IndieMade and tick Title, Description, Price or Photos to protect them. See Choosing What to Keep When You Sync with Etsy.
5. Click Update from Etsy. A progress bar runs while the listing is copied, then you return to your Products page. Click Cancel to leave without changing anything.

Variations, stock and personalization are always brought in, whichever option you pick. Pulling variations is also how IndieMade learns about options that exist on Etsy but not here yet. If a push is refused because the Etsy listing has variations IndieMade does not have, run Update from Etsy on that product first, then send it again.

Updating one Etsy listing from IndieMade

Choose Update Etsy Listing from the same row menu. The confirmation page works the same way, but in the other direction: it asks What should change on Etsy? and lets you keep your Etsy title, description, prices or photos as they are.

Tips

• Have Etsy Advanced? See Etsy Advanced: Reading the Etsy Review Page.
• To update many products at once, tick them on the Products page and choose Update from Etsy or Update Etsy Listings from the bulk actions menu. The same confirmation and choices appear.
