Store Design
Control how your store, products, and categories look to visitors. Go to Dashboard → Design → Store Design.
Store View Settings
Store View Style
Choose a layout for how products display on your store page. Each style arranges product thumbnails differently — some use a grid, others use a masonry layout that adapts to different photo sizes. Preview each style before choosing. If your product photos are different sizes and orientations, masonry-style layouts tend to work best.
Show "Free Shipping"
Displays a "Free Shipping" badge on products that qualify. Only applies to shipping profiles with a single destination or flat rate profiles where the rate is zero.
Description Display
Controls whether product descriptions appear on the store page.
- Shortened summary — Shows a truncated preview of the description
- Full Description — Shows the complete product description
- None — Hides descriptions entirely
Infinite Scroll
Loads more products automatically as visitors scroll down instead of using page numbers. This creates a smoother browsing experience but means the footer takes longer to reach. Uncheck this to use traditional paged results.
Products Per Page
How many products to show at once. If Infinite Scroll is enabled, this is how many load each time. If Infinite Scroll is off, this is how many appear on each page.
Product View Settings
Product View Style
The layout of your product detail page — the page customers see when they click on a product. Options include:
- Default — Standard layout
- Full Two Column — Images and details side by side
- Vertical Thumbnails — Thumbnail images stacked vertically alongside the main image
- Slideshow with Vertical Thumbnails — Auto-advancing slideshow with vertical thumbnail navigation
Quantity Field
Adds a quantity selector so customers can add more than one of the same product to their cart at once. Without this, they add one at a time.
Show Similar Picks
Displays product suggestions from the same category at the bottom of the product page. You can customize the section title (default is "Similar Picks") and choose how many items to show.
Show Shipping Prices
Displays the shipping price next to the product price on the product detail page. Only applies to shipping profiles with a single destination or flat rate profiles.
Product and category links open in a new browser tab instead of the current one. This can be useful for keeping customers on the store page while they browse individual products, but may result in many open tabs.
Category View Settings
Category View Style
Choose a layout for how categories display on your category landing page. Uses the same style options as the store view.
Category Title
The heading that appears at the top of your category landing page. Default is "Categories".
Use Subcategories
When enabled, clicking a category on the landing page shows its subcategories instead of going directly to its products. Useful if you have a large catalog organized into nested categories.
Category Description
Add a text description that appears on your category landing page, above the category grid. Supports rich text formatting.
Hide Empty Categories
Hides categories that have no products assigned to them. Useful for keeping your storefront clean if you have seasonal or upcoming categories.
Category List Settings
The Category List is a navigation menu of your product categories that can be displayed on your store and category pages. It gives visitors a quick way to browse and jump between categories without going back to the main categories page. You can place it in the header, above your products, or in a sidebar — and choose between a full menu, a simple text list, or a compact dropdown.
Enable Category List
Turns the category navigation on or off. When enabled, a listing of all your product categories appears on your store and category pages.
Display
Where the category list appears on the page:
- Header — In the page header area, above everything else
- Above Content — Directly above the product grid
- Sidebar — In a sidebar column next to your products
Style
How the category list looks:
- Classic — Full category navigation with all categories visible
- Basic — Simple text list of category names
- Dropdown Only — A compact dropdown menu, saves space when you have many categories
Image Settings
IndieMade can automatically crop and scale your product images. The aspect ratio is the proportion of width to height — for example, 1:1 is square, 3:4 is a typical phone photo, and 16:9 is widescreen.
When cropping is enabled, you can choose between landscape and portrait orientation. This controls how the crop is applied — it does not rotate your photos.
Tip: After changing image settings, do a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R) or clear your browser cache to see the changes.
You can configure cropping separately for each of these image types:
- Store Thumbnail — Product images on the main store page
- Product Image — The main large image on the product detail page
- Product Thumbnail — Small thumbnail images on the product detail page
- Category Image — Images shown on the category landing page
