Yes, technically any URL on a website is a website page or webpage. But when we talk about Pages on IndieMade we mean a dedicated page where you define the content. At the most basic level, it's a Title and a Body.
You can choose to use any Page you create as your homepage or add it to your top Menu or Footer.
Here is an example of a Page on an Indiemade Site. This example also has a large hero image at the top using the Section Manager.
And this page you are reading right now is an IndieMade Page. And of course, we use the same tools our customers use to create our own sites!
The Page Edit Form.
On the left menu on the Dashboard click on Pages and then click on the "Add Page" button.
Page Title: This is the title of your page, be descriptive but don't go crazy. This is also automagically used by search engines to display this page.
Body: The main content of the page. You can use the editor to style your text. Have fun but keep it simple! The first 255 characters are used by search engines as the description in search results. Make sure your keywords are in there as well.
Search engine optimization (SEO): As mentioned we automatically create your search engine titles and descriptions, but if "you can't leave well enough alone" feel free to tweak this specifically for search engines.
URL: We also automatically create your page URL but if you would like to change this be sure to add a slash ie '/about-me' we add the domain name if used in the menu.
Provide a menu link: Enter in the name of this page if it should show on your menu. For Parent link: Select "IndieMade Site Menu" or "Footer". Once created you can modify this in the menu settings of the Dashboard.
Published: Uncheck "Publish" to hide the page. You can also toggle the check icon on the page listings section of the Dashboard.
Editing pages
