Etsy Advanced: Reading the Etsy Review Page
Etsy Advanced is available on the Plus account. It gives you more insight into how your products line up with Etsy, especially for large shops. If you do not have Etsy Advanced, you will not see Etsy in your dashboard menu, and this page does not apply to you.
The Etsy review page shows which of your linked products have drifted apart from their Etsy listings since the last sync. For each one it tells you which side changed, so you can pick a side: Update from Etsy or Update Etsy Listing. Open it from Dashboard → Etsy.
For the everyday actions on a linked product, see Working with Etsy-Linked Products.
The Etsy review page: what each status chip means
The page lists every product linked to an Etsy listing, with a row of chips across the top. Each chip is a count of products in one sync status. Click a chip to show only those products. A chip with a count of zero is hidden.
- All — every product linked to an Etsy listing.
- Both changed — since the last sync, the product changed here and the listing changed on Etsy. You have to pick a side: Update from Etsy or Update Etsy Listing.
- Removed from Etsy — the listing no longer exists on Etsy. Disconnect it, or push the product to relist it.
- Expired on Etsy — the listing has expired. Renew it on Etsy and syncing resumes.
- Deactivated on Etsy — the listing is deactivated in your Etsy shop.
- Sold out on Etsy — the listing is sold out on Etsy.
- Changed on Etsy — the listing changed on Etsy since the last sync and nothing changed here. It is safe to Update from Etsy.
- Differs from Etsy — the two sides do not match, but this product has never been synced, so IndieMade cannot tell which side is newer. Look at both and choose a direction.
- Edited here — the product changed on IndieMade since the last sync and Etsy did not. It is safe to Update Etsy Listing.
- Unknown — a check ran but could not finish, usually because Etsy did not answer. Rare. Run Check against Etsy now again.
- In sync — both sides match since the last sync.
- Not checked — nothing is wrong. See below.
- Not imported — listings in your Etsy shop with no IndieMade product yet. The chip also shows whether the listing is Active, Draft, Deactivated, Expired or Sold out on Etsy.
Each row names what differs: Title & description, Price, Etsy details, Variations, Options, Photos, Stock or SKUs.
Why "Not checked" grows while you work
Not checked is not an error, and it is not something you forgot to do. It means IndieMade has no saved comparison for that product yet. That happens in two ways:
- Never compared. The product was linked but no check has run on it yet. The row says Not compared against Etsy yet.
- Just synced. Every Update from Etsy or Update Etsy Listing clears the old comparison, because the two sides have a new starting point. The row says Synced <date> — not compared since.
So while you are pushing or pulling products, the Not checked count goes up. That is the sync doing its job. The count drains on its own at the next daily check. If you would rather not wait, click Check against Etsy now at the top of the page.
