Mailchimp Integration

Mailchimp integration allows you to to integrate a Pop-up Form and an Abandoned Cart Email Campaign

Note: If you just need a Mailchimp Pop-up Form it will be much easier to send the code snippet provided by Mailchimp to support@indiemade.com for installation.

Setup at MailChimp

Before integrating Mailchimp you will need to create a site and API Key in the MailChimp Dashboard.

Add a site at Mailchimp

  1. On the MailChimp dashboard on the left menu click on the 'Integrations' Icon.
  2. On the Integrations page search for 'Custom Website'
  3. Enter your IndieMade URL or your custom domain and select your MailChimp audience and click 'Get Code'

Ignore custom website code as well as the Check Connection button this will be done during the IndieMade setup.

Create a MailChimp API Key.

  1. Click on your account icon on the bottom right of the MailChimp Dashboard.
  2. Select Account from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on the Extras menu.
  4. Choose API keys from the drop-down menu.
  5. If you don't have any API keys click 'Create a Key'

Enter your API key

  1. Enter you API key.
  2. Click 'Save Configuration'

Choose your Connected Site.

  1. Click 'Enable Connected Sites' radio button.
  2. Choose your site
  3. Click Save Configuration

Creating a Store at MailChimp
In addition to your MailChimp Site you will also need to create a MailChimp Ecommerce Store and select the Mailchimp Audience (contact list). In this context a Mailchimp Ecommerce store is allows Mailchimp to sync products and orders used in their email campaigns.

  1. Enter in a name for your Mailchimp Ecommerce Store
  2. Choose the Store Audience.
  3. Click Save Configuration

Syncing Orders and Products with MailChimp

Now that you have connected site new products and orders will be automatically synced at MailChimp. You may need to sync existing products and orders manually by using the Sync existing products and orders on the Mailchimp integration page.
