Basic Site Settings for IndieMade

In the settings section of the Dashboard, choose "Basic Site Info" to access and edit the following options:

Logo

If you have a logo, you can upload it here. If not, simply use your site name.

How to upload a logo: Click on 'Choose File', select your logo image, and then click 'Upload'.

Site Name

Your site name is used in several places, including as the meta title for search engines.

Show Site Name in the Header

If your logo already contains your site name, you can choose to hide the site name in the header. Otherwise, displaying both can be redundant.

Note: It's a common issue to have both the site name and a logo containing the site name displayed together. This redundancy can be avoided by hiding the site name if your logo already includes it.

Homepage Options

Select any page to show on your homepage. Options include showing categories, product listings (the store page), or adding additional sections using the section manager.

Site Description

Provide a brief description of your site. This is used by search engines as the meta title, so be descriptive but keep it between 50-160 characters.

Site Email

This email address is used as the reply-to on outgoing emails.

Footer Text

Enter the text you want to display at the bottom of your site. Codes like [date:html_year] and [commerce_store:name:value] are automatically replaced with the current year and site name.
